    Richard Suckling

    Richard Suckling studied illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and worked as a freelance illustrator in London, England for a number of years. He then moved to the West of England and began painting in pastels. Eventually, he moved further West to Cornwall where he lives in the fishing village of Newlyn (famous for the Newlyn School of Painters) and now works exclusively in soft pastel. Richard teaches regular workshops and has written frequently about pastel painting for The Artist Magazine in the UK. He is currently represented by Claremont Contemporary Art and also sells his work privately through Instagram and Facebook to collectors worldwide.
