About Gail SibleyGail Sibley Pastel Today

Hi! I’m Gail Sibley, artist, workshop instructor, blogger at HowToPastel.com, creator of GailSibleyArtSchool.com, travel-lover, Jamaican/Canadian, and now, editor of Pastel Today.

As much as I love painting in various media such as acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, mixed media, and oil, I’m crazy about soft pastels and always come back to them. They’re like home for me in my art-making world.

You can check out my artwork here.

  1. Gail, I love your Pastel Today series!!!
I’d like to see some exploration or discussion about fixative. To use it – or not. When necessary – if ever. When to avoid. I think yours is a good forum for this.

    Thanks again for you articles.

    • Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for your enthusiastic response to what I’m doing on Pastel Today. I do appreciate you taking the time.

And thanks too for the question – a biggie! I will definitely put something together on the topic.

  2. Gail. I’m curious…did you have a brother named john sibley? I went to Lyndon state college in VT and he and I were in the theatre sept together. He died though in the early 80’s. My name is Din
