The International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) recently announced that their June 2026 convention in Albuquerque will be their final biennial gathering. While the convention has long been a highlight for many in the pastel community, IAPS is turning its focus toward new ways of supporting member societies. The organization plans to expand online programming, continue virtual exhibitions, provide educational support and grants, and maintain its honors program and online presence — all aimed at sustaining visibility and recognition for pastel worldwide. Though the convention will be missed, this new chapter reflects IAPS’s ongoing commitment to the advancement of the medium.

We look forward to seeing what they do next!
